There can be a bit of time-blindness and general vague expectations when it comes to senior pictures, so here are quick facts:
☐ You’ll need photos for announcements/invitations
☐ You’ll most likely need photos for slideshows, senior night at church, senior spotlights at community events, etc.
☐ Having your student photographed before spring break allows plenty of peaceful time to do all this.
Your senior will also want photos that (discreetly) signal, “I’m confident.”
Because Images Send Signals
I can’t say I’m such an amazing photographer that I can read minds. But it’s general knowledge that every human wants to feel admired and accepted.
I won’t say that photography magically provides confidence; but I can say that my process produces a range of confidence-boosting images to choose from.
Calotype focuses on the quality of the image, not the quantities. There is a lot of listening and thinking during a Session, not just clicking the shutter. I also don’t push my poses on the senior- I watch and observe how they look best, naturally.
How Much Will It Cost?
There is a Session fee of 175 for a Studio Session (call for a quote on an Outdoor Session- usually 275+)
Images are purchased separately at 125 each, which includes both the digital file and a mounted, archival print. Depending on how many images you love, expect to spend between 500-3000. Early booking seniors (before 9/30) get a free $100 credit toward their purchase of $500.
Reviewing the images together is my trick to make sure clients are satisfied with them! It’s a collaborative process- you’re in control!
