Custom Family Portrait Photography
planned, printed, and made to outlast trends
Four brothers photographed in the studio.
Some families book every year like clockwork. Some book because something's about to change, such as graduation, a move, or a grandparent who won't be here forever. Depending on how much time you have to plan, I have two options.
#1: How do we make sure you have a great experience and your expectations are met? By planning together! Book your first step meeting here, or call me directly at 417-658-8865. If you have time to plan ahead and some specific concerns or creative ideas, this is where you start.
#2: No time or desire to plan ahead- just want to come to the studio and see what I come up with? Go ahead and schedule a Studio Session!
Either way, as part of your photography experience, I create a range of images for you to choose from. No images are included with your Session Fee- you’ll come back to the studio to view and choose which ones you’d like to purchase.
Images are 125/each and include both a physical 5 "x 7 ” archival, mounted print and a digital file.
Whether you want a few special images or end up buying several, we work together to make sure you love them.
It’s fun to view

your images!
FAQ: Do you go on location or just work at the studio?
Both! I love studio work and also love to work on your territory- it provides a personal, custom look that no one else has. We can even meet at your home or farm in advance, to plan the best possible Portrait Session there.
Summertime family portrait at the client’s farm.
A family with older siblings, photographed in the studio.
Fall family portraits at Big Spring Park in Neosho, close to the studio.
How much?
After the Session fee of 175-275, images are purchased individually at 125/each. You can purchase just one image, or several (special offers apply for families who want multiple images).
These are portraits custom-made to fit the walls of your home. The value grows with your child. Imagine their worth, long after children have grown!
If wall art is not your goal, Calotype offers albums that collect fun, silly and beautiful images so you can relive moments time and time again.
Portrait photography is personal. It's a matter of style and trust — which is why I like to talk with you directly before we plan a Session.
